A Call for Discernment

Is it OK to twist Scripture from its context to make a point? Just because an author or teacher claims to be a Christian, does that make his writings or teachings acceptable? The church is sorely lacking discernment. Often we take in anything that quotes a few Scripture verses or is written by a Christian author without weighing it against the Word of God, but this is a dangerous practice. Dr. Adams has issued a call for discernment. He highlights the bleak situation we are in, how we got to this point, the importance of being discerning and then offers a plan to help us learn discernment.
